On Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Westerdam, Oosterdam, Prinsendam, Zuiderdam: Every single Stateroom has a cooler (HAL does not like to use the word refrigerator as they don't get as cool as some medicines that require "refrigeration" need... but they will get beverages cold...)

On the rest of the HAL fleet (and note the above says NIEUW AMSTERDAM... NOT Amsterdam ) If it has a verandah, it has a cooler!

Stateroom was clean and everything worked, no wear and tear visable on the inside. Balcony needed paint , as there was rust everywhere. The room was serviced several times per day around our daily routine.

Airconditioning was on the warm side the first few days . cold after they promptly fixed it. That was a bit too cold, so after a second maintainance visite, also prompt, it was fine. We received chocolate strawberries for our inconvenience. Photos June 2011

A 172 Deluxe Verandah Ocean View Stateroom Deck 9 Upper Promenade Deck

When cabins were ready we went to Deck 9 where ours (172) was located. We found this cabin more than adequate and appreciated the walk-in closet, good size bathroom and the balconey. The stewards Eko and Sapta introduced themselves and made us welcome. Photos December 2010
