Designed to explore the remote corners of the world in elegance and style, the ms Prinsendam is Holland America Line's most intimate ship. Accommodating just 793 passengers, she gives guests the feel of a classic yacht with the spaciousness of a cruise ship. The ms Prinsendam offers many cozy areas in which to find your favorite spot, most of her staterooms feature commanding ocean views and many have private verandahs.

The ms Prinsendam, or "Princes" ship, is truly a classic ship worthy of her name.

On Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Westerdam, Oosterdam, Prinsendam, Zuiderdam: Every single Stateroom has a cooler (HAL does not like to use the word refrigerator as they don't get as cool as some medicines that require "refrigeration" need... but they will get beverages cold...)
[
On the rest of the HAL fleet (and note the above says NIEUW AMSTERDAM... NOT  Amsterdam ) If it has a verandah, it has a cooler!

(IRL_Joanie's Note: The following is from Captain Albert's Blog"PS 008, is called the Titus Suite. If you look through the old brochures from Royal Viking and Seabourn you can see that this cabin was called the Owners Suite. That more or less ties in with the reason that it is called the Titus Suite.
[
Mr. Warren Titus was the man who conceived the concept of luxury cruising and who founded Royal Viking Line. He connected with three Norwegian ship-owners, who each contributed money to fund one ship and thus the Royal Viking Sea, Sky and Star were built. Mr. Titus was also the President of RVL. When in 1986 NCL with Knut Kloster as its owner bought Royal Viking, money became available to build the Royal Viking Sun, now the Prinsendam. Shortly after, Mr. Titus was asked to start up a new company which was called Seabourn Cruise Lines, again specializing in cruises in the luxury segment. Other upscale companies such as Sea Goddess (now Sea dream) and Crystal Cruises are based on the cruise model that he came up with first and what he called Royal Viking Line.
[
Without Mr. Titus there would not have been a Royal Viking Line and thus not a Prinsendam. He passed away in July 2009 at the age of 94 and I personally find it very fitting to have this great man remembered by naming the Owners Cabin on board the Prinsendam after him.")

All the suites on the Prinsendam have their own names!
[
While the room has smaller measurements than most deluxe veranda suites – for us it was the roomiest of them all.  Two sofas, a huge chair plus other chairs. Huge walk in closet, huge storage space – great bathroom with toilet separate, there is a sink there too.  You can use it either from the sitting area or from the washroom itself.  Therefore, guests never go in your washroom and you can each do things to get ready!

Loved the curtains going around the bed separating the sitting area.  The best suite of any HAL ship.

Dh loved the room.  Very cosy, plenty of space and easy to entertain.  ***** stars. Photos November 2011
